How Do I: Apply for a library card?

To obtain a library card you must reside in DeSoto Parish. To apply, present proof of your DeSoto Parish address, along with a picture ID or school ID.

You must be 14 years of age or older to obtain a library card without a parent or guardian’s signature.

Once you have registered for a library card you may now start checking out books, DVDs, Audiobooks, CDs, magazines and get a free access to our online services.

Remember, you are responsible for any materials checked out on your card. You must bring your card each time you visit the library to check out materials. No exceptions will be made.

If your library card is lost or stolen, please report to the library at once as you will be responsible for any debts incurred. There is a $1.00 fee for the first replacement card; $5.00 for any more replacements.
