This humorous and heartfelt story, inspired by Mullins’ own childhood, follows a retired woman whose peaceful days are turned upside down by the mischievous antics of neighborhood boys. What began as a ten-minute writing prompt in Mullins’ 7th-grade language arts class soon developed into a full-length book filled with laughter, nostalgia, and charm. During the event, Evie will be brought to life with a special reading by Carol Mullins, Anthony’s wife and a beloved former Pre-K teacher from Cotton Valley, whose warm storytelling is sure to delight families and young listeners. Now enjoying life in Sarepta, Louisiana, Mullins brings a lifelong love of storytelling to this debut release and promises more tales are already on the way.
