The DeSoto Fire District 1 visited Logansport Library Story Hour last Wednesday, October 17. The children were so thrilled to see our firefighters and got an up-close look at their gear and equipment. The firefighters explained how to get low and go in the event of a fire. The children practiced stopping drop and roll if they had a fire on their clothing. One significant fact the firefighters expressed to the children was that the firefighters were there to help. They encouraged the children not to be afraid of the firefighters. They are the best group of firefighters in the community. Thank you so much for working so hard and for taking the time to invest in our children.
