The Louisiana Library Connection is a collection of online subscription databases that are provided to the people of Louisiana by the State Library. The databases are chosen to cover the widest range of informational needs, providing educational and research materials for the elementary, high school and college student well into the undergraduate and graduate levels. The databases also include many prestigious academic journals for the research professional. Crucial and strategic information is likewise included for the small business owner and the consumer. This service is a cooperative effort funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Service, and state and local funding.
Included within the collection are the following databases: Auto Repair Reference Center, Book Index with Reviews, Britannica eBooks, Business Searching Interface, Career Cruising, Consumer Health Complete, Credo Reference, EBSCOhost, Homework Louisiana, Kids Search, Learning Express, Literary Reference Center, Literati by Credo, Louisiana Digital Library, Louisiana Jobs & Career Center, Newsbank, Salud En Espanol, Searchasaurus, Student Research Center, Teen Health and Wellness, Tutor.com and World Book Online Encyclopedia.
Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7.

Gale LegalForms provides a wide selection of national and Louisiana-specific (and multi-state) downloadable, printable forms spanning a variety of the most popular legal concerns. Includes bankruptcy, divorce, employment, landlord tenant, living wills, pre-marital agreements and many others. Also included is a comprehensive attorney state directory and a dictionary of legal definitions explained in laymen’s language.
The Twayne Authors Series comprises 600 full-text titles from the Twayne Literary Masters series, 200 each from Twayne World, US, and English Authors. Ancestry Library is the library version of ancestry.com and provides access to more than 5 billion names in more than 4,000 genealogical databases including Census Records, Passenger Lists and UK & Ireland records. Available in-house only at any location of the DeSoto Parish Library.
